Being Wales’ highest mountain, the summit of Mt Snowdon becomes extremely crowded on summer weekends! Here, you can also see the train from Llanberis which takes about an hour each way. Next to the summit is a large café/restaurant. The fastest foot descent is via the Pyg Track which takes 2-3 hrs back to Pen y Pass, passing some interesting cave mouths on the way.
